Fitness & Lifestyle Coach and Healthy Foodie
I’ve worked in the well being industry for well over 20 years and busy people are my specialty! 80% of what people look like is because of what they eat, so I went to The New School of Cooking’s Pro Chef program to help them eat well and learn how cooking healthy food doesn’t necessarily mean just sauteing twigs and berries!
With a BA in advertising and a minor in Phys. Ed. from Penn State University, I also have certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine. I’ve written and published articles for BeverlyHillsPeople.com, New York’s Peerless Magazine, Muscle and Body, JLiving and more. I’ve been featured in Town and Country Magazine, Avenue, Nebraska Bride, Vitality and others. I have also been seen and heard on TV and radio and was a featured, recurring guest on KGO-TV (San Francisco) and XETV (San Diego) as a fitness coach and healthy chef. Then, there was that interview on WABC radio in New York City. (I know-I’m tooting my own horn-but it’s my website! Who else is gonna do it?!)
I’m one of the few in this business with life experience on both sides of the desk. A former VP of sales for a media rep firm, I made my passion my profession and pursued a career in fitness, health, stress reduction and play (go to www.ronalewis.com for more on this). And cooking is play, so it seems natural I have this blog, don’t you think?
I am also the author of the cookbook series, “Does This Cookbook Make Me Look Fat?” They’re the first funny, healthy cookbooks that address the needs of all those people who need 37 hours in a 24-hour day, but want to feed their family good food and entertain with panache with recipes that don’t take forever to make. And they really are funny! I know…I wrote them and I was giggling the whole time. Wanna see them? They’re on here, someplace!!
Feel free to contact me with any questions. Email, text, call…let me know what you’re thinking. I actually answer everyone.
